Board Members

We are so excited to be the PTCO Board members for the 2022-2023 school-year! Our goal is to increase parent involvement & participation, revitalize & re-energize the PTCO, and support the students and staff at Erie Elementary the best we possibly can. We are looking for suggestions and input from students, staff, and parents as we begin to make plans for next year. If there is anything you'd like to share with us (ideas, suggestions, ways to support you, constructive criticism, etc.), please feel free to contact any/all of the Board members info@eesptco.com.
In order to help you get to know us better, here is a little information about us!

President
Tabitha Steiner

Picture
Hi! My name is Tabitha Steiner and this is my second year on the PTCO board. I will be serving as President, and am so excited to continue being involved with the school and to be a part of such an amazing organization to help serve Erie Elementary students, teachers, and families!
We have lived in Erie for 5 years, and are so grateful to be a part of this community. In addition to being on the PTCO board, I work as a mental health therapist here in Erie, and am very passionate about and committed to fostering the health and wellness of our town!
My husband, Evan, and I have three kiddos Theo (5), Esme (3), and Toula (1). Our son, Theo, just wrapped up his second year at EES in pre-K and will be starting Kindergarten this fall, while Esme begins her first year in pre-K! We are looking forward to another decade + of having kids at this incredible school!

Vice President
Dana Stein

Hi! I’m Dana Stein and I’m excited to be the Vice President for the Erie Elementary PTCO!  I am married to Josh, a biomedical engineer, and mom to Evan, a 1st grader, & our cat Timmy Ryan. After living for 10 years in the NYC/NJ area (I’m originally from D.C. and my husband from FL), we moved to Erie, CO, a place only I had ever see during a 48-hour visit, and it was love at first sight for all of us.
By day I am an account manager for a public relations agency in tech, and by night (when life allows!) you can find me being an enthusiastic Erie Rec sports mom (soccer - which my husband coaches, football, baseball, and basketball, thus far!), volunteering through the Boulder JCC, or participating as a family in outdoor activities (skiing, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, you name it!).
I love cold brew, IPAs and wine, Orangetheory, a great book (or reality TV depending on the mood), and being part of such an amazing, welcoming, inclusive Erie Elementary community!

Co-Treasurer
Kim Mowat

My name is Kimberly Mowat, my husband and I moved to Erie 12 years ago. We have four boys, two at Erie Elementary and two that have graduated from Erie Elementary. I am working as the co-treasurer this year. We love our school and I am excited to serve on the PTCO this year. I am also subbing as well this year. We chose Erie Elementary for our kids because of the amazing teachers and staff and we love being a Tiger family.  We are forever grateful for our school and all that it is.
I look forward to a great year on the PTCO.

Co-Treasurer
Michel Vezina

Hello! My Name is Michel Vezina and I am the Co-Treasurer for the EES PTCO for this school year. I have two children at EES, Louis (7) is in Ms Martinez' 2nd grade class and has been attending EES since preschool. My daughter Lillian (4) is in her second year in Preschool with Ms Harris.  Both of them just love the school, their teachers, and the events and programs put on by the PTCO.
We moved to Erie from Denver in October 2018.  Ever since first bringing Louis to school here shortly after we moved to Erie, I've always had such a great feeling about the school and the community, and wanted to be more involved in some way, which led to volunteering for the PTCO. It's a pleasure and privilege to work with people that are so dedicated to making the school a better place for teachers, parents, and the children.

Hi! I’m Samantha Hosmer, Fundraising Coordinator  for the 2022-23 board. I have lived in Erie for 8 years with my husband Eric and our two kids - Logan, who is in 10th grade and Fiona, who is in 3rd. We also have two dogs, a cat, and a tortoise!
In my free time I enjoy hiking, knitting, roller skating and finding ways to connect our community. I also sit on the board for the non profit Running Start, which helps empower female-identifying people with barriers to fitness to practice self-care thru movement and connection.
I love our small school, and look forward to finding creative ways to support the amazing EES staff and our community!

Co-Fundraising Coordinator
Courtney Johnson

Picture
My name is Courtney Johnson, and I am the lucky mom to a 4th grader at EES named Emma. In the past, I was the Restaurant Night Coordinator for the Erie Elementary PTCO. I am excited to continue doing so as the Co-Fundraising Chair working alongside Samantha Hosmer for the 2022-2023 school year.
I serve as the manager for my daughter's club soccer team Colorado Ignite, and I have been a room mom for several years for my daughter’s class. I also donate my time to other organizations including A Precious Child and Erie UpLink. When not volunteering, I am a guidebook author, freelance writer and photographer and substitute teacher for SVVSD. I mainly sub at Erie Elementary because of the awesome staff and kiddos.
My family is so thankful for the wonderful staff, and the excellent education Emma has received as a student at EES.
We are proud to be a part of the Erie Tiger family!

Volunteer Coordinator
Micah Frank

Picture
Hi! I'm Micah, and I'll be serving as the volunteer coordinator this year on the PTCO Board. This is a new position and I'm so excited to see the benefits and develop the groups of parents that want to be involved in their kids school experience.
When my husband Dave and I moved to Erie 7 years ago we happened to stumble upon such a wonderful community and I feel so lucky to be here. I have 2 kids (Caroline and Nico) at Erie Elementary 4th and 2nd grade and we've been proud to be a part of Erie Elementary for 6 years now - time flies!
For fun, my husband Dave, the girls and I love to spend lots of time outside doing all the Colorado favorites like camping and hiking. For work I manage a coffee shop in Boulder, I fell in love with being a barista and the community that coffee shops provide when I was 15 year old and could never tear myself away.
My goal this year is to make volunteering for events fun, accessible, and simple for every single person and I cannot wait to get started.
