Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others. We also hope this is an opportunity for our community to learn more about other cultures and how to challenge negative stereotypes.
Our PTCO Equity Team has created a BINGO card to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month as a school community. Throughout September 15 - October 15, families are encouraged to play the game by participating in various fun activities, listening to inspiring stories and even watching amazing movies. Click the links in the Bingo card below, each time you complete an activity in a box, cross it out. Households that complete an entire “Bingo Blackout” by 10/15 will be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift card to a Hispanic Owned restaurant, paid for by the PTCO. Plus, we will be giving away books throughout the month for various Bingos. So check back here or on our Facebook page, “Erie Elementary School PTCO”, to be entered in weekly drawings.
We are excited to celebrate and learn Hispanic Heritage together. Although the ages of all EES students were considered in the book, activity and movie recommendations, please use your discretion, as guardians, on what is appropriate for your child. Thank you for joining the Erie Elementary School community on this journey!
